Pangkor

Last year, I went to Pangkor Island with a few close friends of mine before we all parted for the 9 months internship training.

In terms of companies, it was amazing. Cost wise, it was super cheap as I only spent RM100 for the whole Pangkor trip inclusive of transportation, accomodation, water activities and food.

However speaking of the island itself, oh gosh, please don't go there if you have any other option. The beach there, was so super dirty that basically you are soaked in the polluted, coffee-alike color water for hours just for the sake of water activities, which were ridiculously lame and dull as well. Sorry for all those who stay in Pangkor island but no offence, it's the truth.

There weren't any/very little caucasians when we were there. We went from one beach to another by foot and it was burning hot that time. I did not mind walking under the scorching hot sun for another beach but please let me feel the sunburnt and the walking is worthy at least? I felt being sunburnt unnecessary anyway. Am I complaining too much? No. Cause I'm seriously effing sick of bloggers who did not pen down the truth and kept saying every single shit nice. Enough of those nonsense.

Like what I said, companies wise was great. My friend who was residing in Pangkor managed to book us an apartment at a relatively cheap cost and hence the RM100 spent only. Spent the night drinking like mad which I swore to myself to quit drinking like a stupid biatch after that.

The hangover was just an excruciating pain in my ass. It was like someone been using a hammer to knock on my head zillion times. Oh crap!

the gang that I went with

So, I'm not gonna write down/intro any apartment there or how you should even get there because

PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!

Penang

You know you are in penang when you experienced malaysia top class reckless drivers here, and in the same time the best food you can ever find in malaysia! You call that penang, to the hail of food and i mad love penang hawkers' food!

penang baby!

The food hunting continued right here in penang after malacca where considering the amount of good food we gonna savor and several temples that we should visit to, we decided to stay here for 3 nights! Despite the fact that I travelled to penang almost every weekend without fail last year, sad to say that I did not really try on the hawker food much as my beloved cousin raymond knows the way to shopping malls, best restaurants in town but now hawker center.
=________________=

My number 1 most favorite would be the LO MEE in penang which is also ChuangHwee's favorite. We both love it to bits and I can seriously down 2 bowls or more but considering the amount of pork oil or whatever in this bowl of heavenly tasty sumptious mee, I have to give up the thoughts. Selling between RM4-RM5. A must try! For a head-up, the taste is more to acquired taste.

The FU JIAN MEE which is not as nice as loo mee but is still considered nice. LOL ok it doesn't rhythm. My roommate ordered this almost everywhere we went (I NOTICED) and well, it was good but LOO MEE is better.

The assam laksa. The downside of this trip would be I did not get to try the best assam laksa in penang which is somewhere near kek lok si temple. Do you know how sad it is? Not really very sad. (:P) The government actually forked out quite a sum for the owner to renovate his stalls/shop/or whatever considering its popularity among tourists! How G.E.N.E.R.O.U.S!

*breakfast at pulau tikus

Drum rolls to the Penang fried kueh tiaw! I personally do not really like fried stuffs a lot but this is YUMMMYYYYY! Price: RM3.50 for one. I'm not gonna tell you where you can get the best, please search for it yourself.

The infamous kueh chap stall in penang where you can find duck meat other than pork in the kueh chap. How unique?! And the taste, definitely thumbs up!

Kueh Chap

This picture is here specially for alex because he says he looks thin in this picture and I uploaded it here to make him happy. We went to hard rock hotel for a "tour" around and was greatly disappointed with penang beach. Never in my life I ever see beach in "kopi-o" color. Despite the color, I can still see people enjoying the water activities pretty much. Imagine them swallowing few mouth of sea water accidentally, OMG YUCKS!

Thats all, bye!

Malacca

I just came back from a food trip with uni friends yesterday. It was a hot yet satisfying, fat yet contented trip after all considering all the good food we savored from Muar to Malacca, Penang and KL. Before I went, I had this high expectations towards Malacca with turn out to be slightly disappointing from my first experience because:
  • the weather is killing me
  • jonker street is not as happening as compared to the weekends.
  • this sign "no photography" is annoying me to bits in every shop, even in the museum!
I was wondering, since malacca is one of malaysia most visited tourist state, why the no photography sign everywhere in the shops or museums? How am I gonna promote it/describe how nice to it to my friends and entice them to visit there?

So, in some of the shop, I can only take pictures quietly like a thief. When I was in the baba and nyonya museum, the lady even warned me and another caucasian lady to stop snapping pictures and reminded us there were cctv(s) around. What the hell?

Anyway, this is malacca, picture taken around noon time 12.30pm which at that moment, it was freaking hot and I was feeling so sticky that I almost ripped off all the clothes I was wearing.

The infamous overrated chicken rice balls which we had for lunch that day. I not quite understand the long queue and hoo haa over it anyway. Maybe like what most bloggers did, I should write it this way:

OMG IT WAS SO SUPER DELICIOUS I'M GONNA DIE!!!

No, this was overrated, seriously. Maybe I was being too fussy at that time. :P

The durian puff. This is absolutely nice except that the durian paste inside was not as concentrated as you thought it should be but whatever it is, this is awesome and anyone visiting malacca really has to try this!

Not forgetting the durian cendol which was so yummy. I was dreaded the smell and taste of durian but now, durian is like one of my most favorite all thanks to bf for keep saying/describing how nice it is. Oh well, doesn't matter the bad breath for a while.

slurp!

There are more pictures taken in malacca anyway which I have uploaded it in facebook. For those who has yet to visit malacca, please do go there soon especially during weekends! Jonker street is not as happening as it is during weekends I repeat.

Around Malaysia, Well, Mid Valley to be exact

Before I start with this long-winded entry that I foresee, I would have to state that my boyfriend maybe been to so many places eg. holland, switzerland, amsterdam, paris, vatican city, dublin, taiwan and so forth, he is definitely a loser when it comes to KL. Ironic isn't it? KL is my place, my shopping heaven, food heaven just that too bad I don't stay there. What a turn off.

We stayed in KL for a mere 2 days 1 night at cititel, midvalley for the sake of nice food and my shoppings. Shopping! I'm kinda sick of online shopping for no reason. Catching an early morning flight has always been a pain in my ass, what's more it was pouring heavily in Miri that morning when we were leaving to the airport. The check-in was unpleasant as usual. To make things better, we bought some sandwiches from starbucks so that we could just shut up and eat and not whining over the long queue.

This trip was all about eating. Before we departed to KL, I had sandwiches. Upon arrival to the hotel for check-in, we already finished one big pack of lays potato chips because it was too yummy. Once we checked in, I grabbed his hands and raced to Sushi Zanmai for sashimi and my sukiyaki which I had been craving for ages. Man, I felt so alive the minute I stepped into Zanmai.

We then walked around mid valley endlessly, ended up with two big bags of clothes from topshop and one from nichii, which made me pretty happy because I used to be a shopaholic and am still is. Since it was our month-sary or whatever you called it that day, we decided to dine at italiannies which served best pasta, and pizza ever. Instead of pizza, we opted for lamb shank which was really delicious and alluring.

lamb shank

My greatest achievement throughout this trip would be managed to drag him to the cinema for kungfu panda2 which I have been dying to watch. The story of the success behind was simply i bought and printed the tickets 2 days earlier and left him no choice unless he didn't mind RM31 to be in drain. The downside would be he actually fell asleep half way the movie. =_=

To sum it up, this is an unorganized entry which I just wanted to write something while waiting for that guy to get his shower done so that he can whatsapp me good night and i can sleep after that. Now that he is done, I'm gonna end this entry with a picture of us and good night! More proper updates tomorrow. Bye!

aaawwwww :)
