Bali 3.0

One thing I learnt about blogging is there shouldn't be any procrastination. I went to so many beautiful places in Bali, but now looking back at the pictures, I sort of forgot the name of some of the places. What a waste of the tickets and everything.

After having our super filling and fattening suckling pig as brunch the other day, we headed straight to one of the many rice paddy fields in Bali, which at the first place when I heard about visiting such place, I was so uninterested and reluctant to go. Rice paddy field. =.= But the bf was those kind of person who won't want to miss any single place when traveling.

So we went, under the super hot weather.

Luckily the bf forced me to go! I was actually kind of in love with the greenery view. I felt serene being there despite the scorching hot sun. The way the farmers organize their lands for agriculture purpose definitely put me in awe.

I always thought Bali was ALL ABOUT BEACHES. Such a wrong perception from movies and series. So Bali was definitely an open eye to me - I never expect to visit paddy field, temples and etc. And their cultures and languages were so different than what I always thought.

Due to foreigners flooding into Bali, everything in Bali was so expensive.

I wanted to buy the coconut here but it was so freaking expensive. RM10 for one coconut. Why not they just robbed me straight instead? Whyyyyy?

And like what I said, Bali has always been different in cultures. I could never see a lady carrying things on her head or hundred of places selling craftings like below.

We also visited the sacred bath place in Bali which the indonesian believes that bathing in the sacred place will ensure good health, wash away the sickness and one way of receiving abundance blessings from their God. The bf thought of trying but since we did not bring extra clothes, we just shrugged off the idea of doing so.

As a matter of hygiene, since everyone is dipping in the same pool, I wonder if it is really safe doing so. They even drink the water straight from the pool . 0.o

So this make my Bali 3.0

What define Friends?

I attended my cousin's violet wedding in KL during the weekend. It was really beautiful and many touching moments. What touched my heart was her vows to the husband in front of the priest and the guests.

One particular sentence which imprinted in my head was "wee loon, my friend, my love."

"My friend, my love."A simple four words phrase but contains powerful meaning. The husband for her, is her best friend whom she can share all her happiness and down moments with, with no boundaries. She can cry hard on his shoulder, hug him tight enough out of happiness, share whatever she wants be it knowledge or silly things, knowing that he will always be there for her. Because of this reliance and dependence, there comes love and then marriage.

But what brings me to deeper thought is the word "friend".

I know true friends are difficult to look for, what's more a close and sincere one? Me in particular, has been difficult in making new friends because of the first impression I always give people without fail - The "lansi" or so called ignorant look, which was out of my intention at all. I was born this way, with this look. Then because of this, people start making judgement that I'm proud, not easy to approach, and this and that, which was really UNFAIR for me.

People start making judgement before they even know me.

Yes, I do have some really really good and close friends whom I treasure. There are also friends whom I was once so close with during high school, then because of studies we were drifted apart, then slowly become some kind of awkward friends whom we do not have topics to talk about when come to whatsapp and face-to-face. When I made an effort to reconnect back the bonds and see no mutuality, I gave up.

I vented out my problem to my close friend and the bf. They told me it is normal. Friends change with age, with environment, with interest, with location. One cannot have MANY good friends, they can only have either one or two and that's enough. =/

I need friends, whom when I talk to him/her about my problems he/she is sincere enough to be my listener. I do not need friends with masks, they are so fake.

Then again, it is never easy.

p.s: i'm good, just some thoughts.

Finally A Break!

Finally a break off from studies and exams. Done with final year 1st semester which also implies that I'm one step closer to graduation. :D In my next coming 8 months, I just have to take another 4 major exams and then I will be done with my university and my study life.

Now that I'm back in Miri, I'm suppose to write and post more entries here. Then again, I'm a little bit off the mood now since I'm quite busy with my sweetheart angel, family and bf. And I will be flying off to KL tomorrow for the weekends with the family and bf for CNY shopping and to attend my cousin, Violet's wedding.

We will be staying at Boulevard's Hotel for 2 nights and definitely anticipate good food and fruitful shopping throughout the weekends. Oh, time to check what movies to catch as well.

Will be back next week. :) xx

Sweetness Overdose

p.s: please pardon all pictures quality. Taken using hp

In fact, I just touched down in KL yesterday night after my super duper short 1 week break in Kuching. Days seems like hours in Kuching but now since I'm back to the university, hours seems like days. Anyway, just another 9 days that I have to bear, take the final exams and I can go back to Miri and get all ready for CNY!

And this afternoon, I changed my flight again, which means a longer break in Miri :D

Back to December. December had been really good and lovable to me. It was Christmas eve when I arrived Kuching and we settled the eve dinner at Pullman Puzzle for buffet dinner.

It was our first time celebrating the Christmas as couple. Could still vividly remember the 2010 Christmas was also spent with him, Louis and some other friends in Cherrie Berries Miri. How time flies and brought us to what we are now!

The buffet dinner itself was so-so, not a wow factor for the both of us and we agreed that Park City Buffet was still one of the best. The whole restaurant was super packed and luckily we reserved a table for two like a month ago. (so kia-su right? :P)

The next day, attended Calvin and Emm's wedding at the Banquet. It was a beautiful and warm greetings and best part was I get to catch up with my friendssss. :D

Please ignore that guy at the back, such a spoiler. :P

The girls

and the newly wedded.

And it was my first time ever to actually see such a special bride's car. Ferrari 430 as the bride's car. How else special could it be. My bf and the guys got so hyped over it, over the engine and etc etc which I don't understand at all. All I knew was it was a yellow color ferrari. Typical girl me.

And I really love it!

Other than that, the bf and I celebrated our anniversary in Hilton Steakhouse on the 27th as well! And I finally wore one of my favorite dresses which turn out to be quite big for me. :S

So much of loves. Hilton steakhouse served really nice steaks even though the whole menu had only 2 pages. No wonder the name - steakhouse. Just steaks and only steaks. Caught Sherlock Holmes 2 in the cinema after that, simple celebration. :) And many people had been asking me his anni gift.

With steven's help, I actually composed a song for him. Took me so much of courages to play that video to him because it was my first time doing such thing. And he loves it. Luckily. :P

Other than all those celebrations and stuffs, we dated casually as well. Our utmost favorite activity would be hunting for supper in kuching. I pretty much love kuching hawker's food especially their cha kueh and teh-c-peng and also ice lemon tea! These 3 are my favorites in kuching. We had supper every single night in Kuching!

And that's the reason of our weight gain in this 1 week. I gained at least, at least 2kgs! And my pants are so tight now, which make me feel like throwing away all the pants and just wear dresses. Hrmph.

Took pictures of some of the food that I savored in kuching. Was so lazy to bring the camera out, even my bag because it kept raining raining and raining non stop.

My favorite kolo mee, yummy.

The infamous kuching sio bee

and my favorite cha kueh!

On the 31st december which was the NYE, bf and I went to starbucks to chill then sidewalk restaurant to have some western. Plan to hit the club but then can't find enough partners in crime. :/ So I spent my countdown at Bing! Cafe with the bf and Richard before we moved on to 101 for supper.

Even so, I was happy enough just by thinking that I will be graduating in 9 months time. :D

I was so reluctant to leave kuching on the last day itself thinking about my uni, my small room, my small bed, the dirty and oily cafe, and everything. :'(

But now since I'm back, I will just have to bear with it and kick final exams ass before going off for my CNY breaks. Exams? Bring it on!!
