This reminded me of my secondary school life which when I gave a thought back, it was kind of interesting. With so much dramas revolving around me during the high school life, I actually felt lucky to have all of it. What I meant was the stage from friendship to be in a relationship and back to friendship and then relationship then eventually strangers or just internet friends. It was when youth started.
With this, i felt thankful for those who added colors to my dull high school life. I wish you good luck and will find your right one soon.

Shanghai
Shanghai was all about food, food, food and foodddd! The historical sites are not as much as compared to Beijing, but the crowd, damnnnn, it was even more packed!
Other than Shanghai, Bf and I managed to go to Suzhou and Hangzhou as well. I personally preferred Shanghai much more than Beijing because it was more civilized, food was definitely better but in the same time everything also doubled the price in Beijing. Crappp! Not only food, the metro, the taxi fare and etc.
Took the domestic flight from Beijing to Shanghai. What can I say? Even though it was a mere 2 hours flight, the service was gooddd! I never expect them to serve us food as well even though it was just congee with a meat bun, preserved vege and yogurt. Ok, I mad love the yogurt anyway.
We stayed at lao xi men international youth hostel in shanghai which was fantastic and rocks my socks. It was my first time to ever stay in a hostel and it was totally different than what I imagine. There are computers provided for us to use downstairs, a TV, place to eat and almost all the guests there are youth. Feeling so cozy at least.
Went to ChengHuangMiao for our lunch after checking in. It was a 20 mins walking distance from our hostel but it was fun, maybe depends on who you walk there with. Kept snapping pictures all the way there and I just love how the buildings were being structured in Shanghai.
ChengHuangMiao was so packed with people where everything you have to queue to get it. The xiao long bao, the custard bun, the smelly tofu, starbucks, mcd, dairy queens etc. =.= Really queue till sien. Sometime just wish that the people can disappear all of sudden.
We tried the infamous nan xiang xiao long bao where they served the normal size and the big size one (drank with straw) which was overratedddddddd despite the super long queue and ratings from internet! Hereby, I would like to SCREW YOU FOOD BLOGGERS FOR SAYING EVERY SINGLE FOOD NICE WHEN THEY ARE NOT. SCREW YOUUUU! Bf and I were so scare that the straw will melt due to the heat and this bao was actually so thick-skinned that you wont feel like eating it.
Then we visited the bund shanghai which I personally think that it was the highlight of the trip. The bund was so amazingly beautiful and sophisticated especially at night. It was my second time there and I still love it. We paid RMB100 each to enjoy the ferry ride and overlooking the night view of shanghai.
And like what many others do, we did not miss out the yu garden as well.
And the shanghai expo even though what's left was china pavilion. It was soooo scorching hot that day I could literally get killed by the heat. We queue for half an hour to get in there and PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. It was great though, at least I could say "been there, done that."
We went to the Oriental Pearl Tower that night too and again overlooking the majestic shanghai night view.
Amazing, isn't it?
:P
Then we went to Hangzhou to visit the xi hu, jiu xi and long jing chun. We strolled along jiu xi for almost 1 hour and it was niceee. The water was crystal clear and you can just fill your bottle with it and drink it!
Then that night, we took the high speed train back to shanghai and settled our dinner at wu jiang road where we savored the best shui jian bao we ever had! It was xiao yang jian bao and it was worth the wait!
@wu jiang road
xiao yang shui jian bao. yummmmm!
mushroom and chicken soup ramen @ noodle bar
Went to Suzhou as well. I'm so lazy to describe everything already so let the captions do.
@shi zhi ling
suzhou's water village
Dinner time was always my favorite. We settled at lisboa restaurant this time and since it was our last time in Shanghai, we just ordered everything we felt nice. :P And these two were my favorites:
the grilled ge zi
and fried fish with noodles
We left nothing at lao xi men hostel but scribbles on the wall to remind them/us that we were there before. OMG I am missing that particular hostel. Kidding, my bed is still more comfortable.
credit to bf for this :P @ shanghai pudong airport

Beijing
in summer, is crappppp! It's so freaking hot that bf and I literally sweat like pigs every single day without fail. We spent 1 week in Beijing and another week in Shanghai, which every morning we woke up, feeling cold in the room thanks to air cond and the next minute when we were outside the room, we started to sweattttt! And my long hair just kind of stick to my neck everytime I sweat making me so utterly uncomfortable that I have to tie it up almost everyday even though I don't quite like it.
Albeit that crap weather, beijing was fun because:
- I went there with my bf
- Everything was cheap there (imagine divide it by 2.5)
- The restaurants there served awesome food
- The room we stayed in was comfortable to max
- I watched Hell's kitchen & America Next Top Model on TV every night before I slept
- Worth exploring
Few years ago I went to China during Winter. That time (2003) China was seriously the dirtiest city I ever encountered in my life. People just pooed at the drain visible to you and the public, toilet without doors and etc. But this time, the toilets improved hell lots but Beijing is still dirty in terms of air quality. They tops the world most polluted city and hence you can hardly see any cloud be it during day time, night time, sunny day, rainy day and etc.
So, bf and I conquered great wall of China the next day of our arrival in Beijing. We thought we could at least spent 2-3 hours walking there but NOOOOSSSSS, we were so wrong. The whole great wall of China was so packed with people because our trip coincided with china's school holiday and it's summer, caucasians love it during summer. We had to squeezed ourselves through just one slope and it took us almost 45 mins. Overlooking the crowd from the peak just made you feeling like giving up walking and just wanted to get back to the bus or wherever badly.
This was what I anticipated the most every time I went outdoor: the bed, the tv and the aircond. Sounds much like a loser I know but seriously Beijing is freaking hot. T___T
And this is what we could see from outside of our hotel, the cctv building which its architecture of it amazed me till now.
So the next day we headed off to the forbidden city which was as usual, sardined packed with tourists againnnnn and the heat wave. Pfffttttt! Anyway, it was a great place to actually experience the emperor's life in the past. What I can conclude from his life would be the eunuch around him definitely developed strong legs muscles considering the size of the forbidden city.
And being in Beijing, there was this food where everyone should not miss it - the infamous beijing kao ya (beijing roasted duck) which was awesome possum. We had it at trader's hotel instead of other place because it was nearer. Looking at this picture actually making me drooling for another bits of it.
After dinner, we headed off to wang fu jin food street by metro and walking. There were all sort of snacks selling there but bf and I had none cause we were scare shyt that those food will be sort of unhygienic after reading so much about it from the media. The stuffs there were really cheap though and were all at bargained price.
Seriously this is my most favorite pie ever!!! The taro pie :P I had this for 3 days continuously and never feel sick of it. Too bad Msia mcd offers only apple pie. So lame. =.=
We also went to maozhetong's museum and became a modern emperor and empress there.
We had our dinner at ting tai fong again on our last night in beijing which this restaurants for us served the best xiao long bao you can ever find! Since I was a bit sick that night, bf ordered this chicken soup for me as well awwww how sweet of him :P
So much experience for this tripppp and love the guy to bits. I wonder if I will blog about my shanghai trip anyway considering my laziness. That's all for today. Byeeeee. For those who has yet been to china before, you MUST go but NOT during SUMMERRRRRRR!

Penang
You know you are in penang when you experienced malaysia top class reckless drivers here, and in the same time the best food you can ever find in malaysia! You call that penang, to the hail of food and i mad love penang hawkers' food!
penang baby!
The food hunting continued right here in penang after malacca where considering the amount of good food we gonna savor and several temples that we should visit to, we decided to stay here for 3 nights! Despite the fact that I travelled to penang almost every weekend without fail last year, sad to say that I did not really try on the hawker food much as my beloved cousin raymond knows the way to shopping malls, best restaurants in town but now hawker center.
=________________=
My number 1 most favorite would be the LO MEE in penang which is also ChuangHwee's favorite. We both love it to bits and I can seriously down 2 bowls or more but considering the amount of pork oil or whatever in this bowl of heavenly tasty sumptious mee, I have to give up the thoughts. Selling between RM4-RM5. A must try! For a head-up, the taste is more to acquired taste.
The FU JIAN MEE which is not as nice as loo mee but is still considered nice. LOL ok it doesn't rhythm. My roommate ordered this almost everywhere we went (I NOTICED) and well, it was good but LOO MEE is better.
The assam laksa. The downside of this trip would be I did not get to try the best assam laksa in penang which is somewhere near kek lok si temple. Do you know how sad it is? Not really very sad. (:P) The government actually forked out quite a sum for the owner to renovate his stalls/shop/or whatever considering its popularity among tourists! How G.E.N.E.R.O.U.S!
Drum rolls to the Penang fried kueh tiaw! I personally do not really like fried stuffs a lot but this is YUMMMYYYYY! Price: RM3.50 for one. I'm not gonna tell you where you can get the best, please search for it yourself.
The infamous kueh chap stall in penang where you can find duck meat other than pork in the kueh chap. How unique?! And the taste, definitely thumbs up!
Kueh Chap
This picture is here specially for alex because he says he looks thin in this picture and I uploaded it here to make him happy. We went to hard rock hotel for a "tour" around and was greatly disappointed with penang beach. Never in my life I ever see beach in "kopi-o" color. Despite the color, I can still see people enjoying the water activities pretty much. Imagine them swallowing few mouth of sea water accidentally, OMG YUCKS!
Thats all, bye!
